What a groovy blog you have! Have you run across any of the following Beatles' cover albums?
ResponderExcluir1. 'All This and World War II' [Soundtrack, Double LP, don't know if ever released on CD],
2. 'Glass Onion: Songs of the Beatles'
3. 'Live at the Knitting Factory: Downtown Does the Beatles'
4. 'Ticket to Ride: A Beatles Tribute' by the Swingle Singers
Muchas Gracias!
Thanks for your words.

Hugs.
Thank you, sir.
ResponderExcluirAllMusic now says that "All This and World War II" did come out on CD. Here's their review of it: http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=10:wzfwxq9hldje
Haven't seen "Downtown does the Beatles" anywhere, think it's pretty rare. It is a collection of covers by modern jazz artists.
Another jazz covers album I've heard is good is: "Beatle Jazz" [2005, Piano Trio with guests: the Brecker brothers, John Scofield & Mike Stern].
And then there's "Come Together: Guitar Tribute to the Beatles" (2 CDs, Vol. 1 & 2)
I see you have a few fingerstyle guitar albums of Beatles songs, I've heard this one is good: "Here, There and Everywhere: Goran Sollscher Plays the Beatles" [Classical Guitar].
Your blog is truly amazing, I had NO idea so many people had covered Beatles songs! Please keep up the good work!
I saw 'A Hard Day's Night' at a drive-in movie theater when it first came out - I was just a kid. Their music was like the soundtrack of my life in the '60's. - Felix
Sorry for the double post, but I just found a link to the 'All This and World War II' Beatles music soundtrack album I mentioned, which is supposedly excellente:
